For the past two decades, I have dedicated myself to writing dark stories of the weird and the fantastic. Throughout my career, I have published nine novels and three short story collections for both adults and children in Romanian. My work has garnered recognition, including nominations for Best European Debut at the Chambery Festival in France, Best Translated Novel at the Babel Fish Awards in Russia, and Book of the Year at the Brasov Cultural Awards in Romania. I am honoured to have received two Colin Awards for Fantasy and the Cărturino Children’s Book of the Year award. Additionally, I have been nominated twice for Best Young Novelist at the Young Writers Gala in Bucharest, Romania. My short stories and novels were praised by publications such as die tageszeitung, Bücher Magazin, Buchkultur and Börsenblatt in Germany, Darker Magazine and World of Fantasy in Russia, Publishers Weekly in the USA, and Observator cultural, Romania literară and Suplimentul de cultură in Romania. Some of my novels and short stories have been translated into English, German, Russian, Hungarian, and Bulgarian. While most of my Romanian books are now out of print, some recent publications remain available through Polirom and Nemira. As of 2024, I have retired from writing and have mostly stopped doing interviews and events. I am profoundly grateful for the support of my readers, as well as the efforts of editors, translators, illustrators, and publishing partners who have been a part of this journey. I extend my best wishes to you all.

"Meanwhile the mind, from pleasure less,
Withdraws into its happiness;
The mind, that ocean where each kind
Does straight its own resemblance find,
Yet it creates, transcending these,
Far other worlds, and other seas;
Annihilating all that’s made
To a green thought in a green shade."
(Andrew Marvell, The Garden, 1681)
